Master's Message
Brethren,
Our February Stated Meeting was a great success! We held our first ever Valentine’s Day dinner event, and a great time was had! We hosted the Murder Mystery Company for a mystery dinner with our loved ones. This goes to show that we can do something different with very little grumbling. It also proves that we can host these types of events in our beautiful banquet hall and utilizing our amazing kitchen. This would not have been such a success without the effort of our lodge cooks and stewards; THANK YOU!
March brings the beginning of spring, and the beginning of the Spring Masonic Marathon. No, running is not involved, but your officers will begin their travels by accompanying the District Deputy Grand Master on his official visitations to the lodges in our district, attending the regional school of instruction and the officer/mentor training. Up first, our own lodge. At our March Stated Meeting, we will host the DDGM and officers of Masonic District 9. We will also host Bro. Bill Soloway of the Masonic Blood and Organ Donor Club. If you haven’t heard of it, you should! It’s the Right Worshipful Grand Master’s charity, and something that all of us can contribute to without spending a dime. It’s also a lifeline for all of us, should we ever be in need.
We’ll meet for a Masonic Fellowship Breakfast on Saturday, March 23 at 9:00 A.M. This is for members and prospective candidates and will have a cost of $10. If you know someone interested in the fraternity or a friend with nothing better to do on a Saturday morning, bring them out! The grass won’t be growing yet, so no excuses!
This month we will also confer the Master Masons degree. If you have not been out to an Extra Meeting recently, I encourage you to join us and help support our Brother as he is raised to the Sublime Degree! We usually go out afterwards for fellowship with our newly raised Brother. Business casual attire is now permitted for Extra Meetings unless you are an officer in the degree. I truly hope to see more members on the sidelines!
Fraternally,
Bro. Timothy J. Curran, Worshipful Master
